The collection contains a journal that was kept by Michigan State University student Donna L. Rinn during a Council for International Educational Exchange (CIEE) sponsored tour of the People's Republic of China in 1979. Rinn traveled to Tokyo, Peking, Chengtu, Shanghai, Hangchow, Kwangchow, Shumchun, and Hong Kong. The journal contains Rinn's description and comments on China and its people. The itinerary for the tour is also included.

Scope and Contents This collection contains the personal papers and memorabilia of Doyle K. Otto, who served with the U.S. Army in Japan following World War II from 1948 to 1951. There are a variety of photographs of different people and some negatives. Weekly schedules for his basic enlisted stenographic course over the course of several weeks are included.
