Biographical Note
Linda Eoline Landon, nee Vought, was born in New York and later moved with her family to Niles, Michigan. There she married Rufus W. Landon in 1877. He died in 1886. She served as a teacher in the Kalamazoo, Michigan public schools for some time. Later she was the librarian at Michigan Agricultural College (now Michigan State University) from 1891 to 1932. She died on September 29, 1942. See Board of Trustees minutes (October 23, 1942, page 1863) for a resolution made by the State Board of Agriculture on the death of Landon.
