Photographs were likely taken by a British member of the King's African Rifles and are images taken on a trip from Nairobi to the south-west of Kenya. The collection includes a "A tentative Kimeru dictionary" published by the Meru Catholic Bookshop in 1964, compiled by Fother B. G. Giorgis. The second dictionary is an M.A. thesis submitted in Anthropology by Andrew F. MtoMugambi to the Graduate School of Syracuse University in 1970. In this version, Kimeru is spelled "Kemeero."
