The collection contains the manuscript for "Keep Smiling Through the Grease: The Making of an Engineer in Mid-Twentieth Century America" by John Fiske Brown, an alumnus of Michigan State University (1953-1957), in which he writes about his life including his education and career. Also included are some family photographs and recipes.
Mark K. Griggs collection
The Mark K. Griggs collection consist of class notebooks for engineering and physics classes at Michigan State University. The notebooks contain Griggs' handwritten assigments and diagrams. The Engineering Laboratory Notes by J.A. Polson notebook contains printed exercises as well. The physics notebook contains drawings of physics principles, machines and equipment. It is dated 1907 and is probably not from his studies at MSU.
