The Haight family papers consist of correspondence, legal notices, pedigrees and stock registers. The Haights owned pedigreed cattle and also raised sheep. In addition, the collection contains legal notices relating to proposed improvements on Haight land in California Township, Branch County, Michigan.

These two families were connected by marriage: Mrs. E. E. Hall was the daughter of Earl and Mary E. Ferdon Wilcox. Hall Banghart's Hair Jewelry Instructions

Scope and Contents

This hair jewelry instruction booklet was created by Hall Banghart. There are approximately 24 different patterns described, each with a circular sketch of the pattern. At the back of the booklet are wholesale prices for mounting the pieces of jewelry and a list of prices Banghart would charge for braiding. Banghart wrote this instruction booklet between May 30 - August 30, 1862 in both Hunter's Creek, Michigan and Almont, Michigan.

Hanchett family papers

Scope and Contents This collection consists of four letters between members of the Hanchett family of New York, which discuss family and personal matters, as well as their respective travels in the west (Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin) and Louisiana. The first letter from Mary Ann Hanchett to Elijah Hanchett in 1826, describes her travels in Michigan and Ohio.
