Ku Klux Klan documents collection
The Ku Klux Klan documents collection is comprised of letters, pamphlets, flyers, applications and petitions for membership, as well as pictures, and a Ku Klux Klan robe. Most of the material in this collection dates from the late 1920s and the 1950s, and primarily covers the Klan in New York and North Carolina.
Kumiko Makino-Yamashita papers
Documents in this collection represent the research materials of Makino-Yamashita as relates to her work on anti-apartheid movements in Japan. All documents were produced in the 1980s and are in Japanese.
L. Charles Bokemeier papers
This collection consists of articles written by L. Charles Bokemeier and Accounting 201 textbook/course materials. Also included are covers for other Accounting 201 textbooks which indicates that Bokemeier wrote them.
L. Claire Hulbert collection
This collection consists of photographic negatives of Michigan geological features taken by L. Claire Hubert, on behalf of the Michigan Geological Survey. Listed on each negative sleeve is the type of geological feature, location (often including range numbers), the photographer (Hulbert), and the date taken. Some negative sleeves have additional information. There are also a few photographic prints in the collection.
L. P. Pettitt manuscript
This collection contains an article by L. P. Pettitt entitled "Short Story of the Passenger Pigeon" (1953) explaining the methods used in Michigan from 1870-1880 to capture large numbers of these birds. The birds were then shipped to cities in the Midwest. Pettitt also discusses different theories on the cause of the extinction of the passenger pigeon.
