John Melton Hunter papers
The John Melton Hunter papers contain extensive materials in the field of medical geography and health, demography, geography and cartography. It includes original text and map manuscripts and original field notebooks, correspondence, and some photographs of John Hunter. The focus of the collection is strongest on West Africa, in particular Ghana, but also ranges across other regions of Africa, and includes documents on British and Latin American geography.

Personal and family papers focusing on Adams College in South Africa, with an East Lansing/Michigan State University connection. Materials include personal papers (chiefly correspondence from South Africa to relatives in East Lansing), pamphlets, publications, and unpublished papers and other personal documents, including photographs. Kumiko Makino-Yamashita papers
Documents in this collection represent the research materials of Makino-Yamashita as relates to her work on anti-apartheid movements in Japan. All documents were produced in the 1980s and are in Japanese.

Lynne Weikart collection
The Lynne Weikart collection contains primarily publications, clippings, and limited correspondence related to her activity with the Committee of Returned Volunteers (CRV) and the Committee for a Free Mozambique (CFM). The collection has a large collection of CRV newsletters and material from other organizations including the Church Project on U.S. Investments in Southern Africa (1973), as well as an extensive file on the Cabora Bassa dam in Mozambique.
