Jason Hammond’s papers consist of one scrapbook, which contains a few programs and photographs from Michigan Agricultural College (now Michigan State University). The majority of items are from the Michigan public schools at which he taught. Included are announcements, invitations, photographs, greeting cards, and programs from North Adams High School in Hillsdale, Michigan, where he was principal in 1891, and from schools in Allen and Johnsville, Michigan.
This collection contains a circular from the Superintendent of Public Instruction in Ann Arbor, Michigan regarding annual reports from school districts (1841), a teaching certificate issued to Owen Churchill by the Inspectors of Schools in Bertrand, Berrien County, Michigan (1860), a Civil War pass issued to Churchill as hospital steward for the 24th Michigan Infantry (1865), and several of Churchill's receipts.
This collection consists of meeting minutes, correspondence, pamphlets, and other files created by the All-College Secondary School Teaching Committee at Michigan State University. The collection is arranged chronologically.
