Photo, 11 by 14 inches (28 by 36 cm.). Portrait of versatile actor, dancer and musician, who was born in 1907 in New York City, of Cuban parents and known to several generations of audiences, first as romantic Latin lover in musicals and comedies, in his series as the Cisco Kid, and later to TV audiences, particularly for his role on the “Batman” series.” He often represented the Latin leading man and was a featured romantic dancer of the Latin music, which became so popular during World War II. Portrait is of him playing piano and was used by Dell Publishing in May 1942 to promote his 20th Century Fox film ORCHESTRA WIVES.
