Footage of the October 1979 game against the Wisconsin Badgers at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, Wisconsin. MSU Head Coach - Darryl Rogers; Wisconsin Head Coach - Dave McClain. Spartans lost 29-38.

Despite an early MSU lead and a 98-yard kickoff return by running back Derek Hughes in the 3rd quarter, a series of turnovers contributed to the loss against the Badgers, and the Big Ten co-champion Spartans would fall to 2nd place in the division.

MSU Hockey at Munn Ice Arena, 1977

Scope and Contents

Following a brief introduction to the campus of Michigan State University, we are taken to a practice session of the MSU Spartan Hockey team. While viewing the practice, the viewer is given a history of hockey at Michigan State and introduced to the head coach, Amo Bessone. The concluding half of the film presents highlights of the 1976-77 hockey season at Munn Ice Arena.

This film was presented at the 13th Chicago Film Festival in 1977.
