The collection consists of clippings, correspondence, grant applications, meeting minutes, publications, and other administrative records. The minutes are from the Health Promotion Policy Task Force and the Health Promotion Task Force (1983-1984). The minutes and correspondence include information regarding the creation of the program and its relationship with the W.K. Kellogg Foundation and the university administration.
The records consist of brochures about the Institute, its programs and projects, a list of publications from the Institute, and "Sights and Sounds of Life in Schools: A Resource Guide to Film and Videotape for Research and Education." There are also occasional papers and research series papers about teaching topics.
The papers contain two research papers written by Irma Gross and Esther Everett: "Work Simplification of Three Household Tasks" (1944) and "Scoring of Home Management Practices" (1946). Also included is the article written by Gross entitled "Home Management of Working and Non-Working Homemakers with Young Children" (1955).
The collection contains the volume "Brucella Infections in Animals and Man" by Irvin Forest Huddleson (1934) and the journal articles, “The Differentiation of the Species of the Genus Brucella” (1928) by Huddleson, and “A Study of an Epidemic of Brucellosis Due to Brucella Melitensis” (1940) by Huddleson and Myrtle Munger. Also included is a booklet honoring I. Forest Huddleson and three photographs.
