Scope and Contents

Materials in this collection consist of correspondence, replies to invitations, cards of delegates who attended, programs and miscellaneous papers pertaining to specific events, various newspapers (primarily Michigan) from early 1907, and a certificate of congratulation (1907).

The collection also contains postcards and photographs.

Scope and Contents Records of the Society of Alumni of Michigan Agricultural College, 1868-1913 This series includes a Minute Book (1869-1916) which contains: Constitution of 1869, signatures of members in 1885, and minutes of annual and triennial business meetings. The minutes generally do not record alumni discussion of college programs, but do include resolutions supporting the labor system, women’s education, and athletics at MAC. Scope and Contents Alva True Stevens papers consist of one item, a menu and program from a "Bachelors' Banquet" held at Michigan Agricultural College (now Michigan State University) in November, 1894. Stevens and sixteen other men appear in a photograph on the cover. The banquet, an end-of-the-term celebration, included an elaborate dinner, speeches, recitations, and music. Scope and Contents Alvin Crossman Pratt papers consist of a scrapbook and memorabilia, primarily from Michigan Agricultural College (now Michigan State University), but including some items from Pratt's years as a student at Lansing High School.
