Scope and Contents The papers of Fannie Beal contain two notebooks from her classes at Michigan Agricultural College: a cooking notebook and a sewing notebook. The first volume contains notes from her senior cooking class about assorted recipes for fruit dishes, juice, rolls, and desserts. Also within this notebook are lecture notes pertaining to canning, the chemical make-up of humans, and the basics of proteins, sugars, and starches. This collection contains the hand written botany notes of Fred W. Dean. The notes cover topics such as the growth and development of a typical plant, differing physiologies between plants, and different modes of reproduction used by plants. There are also a number of sketches of whole plants and cross-sections; these are usually labeled. The course was taught by Professor Beal.

The entries are for colleges in: Connecticut, Vermont, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Ohio, West Virginia, New Hampshire, Maine, Maryland, Indiana, Massachusetts, New York, and Rhode Island.

George Farr autobiography

Scope and Contents This typed copy of George Farr's autobiography, entitled "My Own Life," tells of his childhood on a small farm in Erie County, New York, and his family's migration to Michigan in the 1850s. It describes farm life and work in rural Michigan in those years. The autobiography is primarily an account of the Civil War and of Farr's war experiences. George Henry Ellis papers

Papers of George Ellis consist of a scrapbook, college songs, poems written by Ellis, and a line graph Ellis drew showing his salary increases and describing his various engineering jobs from 1907 to 1950. The scrapbook contains photographs of Ellis and his friends, a 1906 Michigan Agricultural College calendar, college songs and yells, and photographs cut from M.A.C. catalogs dating from 1899.

George K. Fisher papers

Glee Club records

The collection contains newspaper articles about the club, concert programs, a blank contract, and images of the glee club clipped from publications as well as photographs of the Glee Club, Glee and Mandolin Club, and Men's Glee Club.

Also included is an undated (circa 1955) 45 rpm recording called "Men's Glee Club Sings." The songs include Close Behind the Winding Cedar with James McMahon soloist, Spartan Toast, MSC Shadows, and Fight Song.
